Attention : Mr. Fraser Armstrong and Ms. Paula A. Formanek
It is my understanding that your firm will be conducting a peer review of the hydrogeological component of the Fraserville Water Supply Master Plan.
I would like to impart some information that probably will not be in any of the reports from the Township hydrogeologist (Golder & Associates). During the "Pump Test" in August there was impact to artesian wells in close proximity to the pump test well site that were not monitored by the hydrogeological team. On my property which is at 18 George St. some 1000 yds directly south of the Millbrook wells is an artesin well which flows at a normal rate of 40+ liters/min., while the pump test was being conducted the flow rate dropped to less than 20 liters/min. Also an adjoining property owner at 16 Houston Street reported that their well stopped flowing entirely (this was witnessed by Nels Edgerton the Township Water/Waste Water Director).
These wells continued to exhibit the reduced flow during the entire 3 day test and did not recover until the Millbrook wells were returned to normal flow.
My concern is that the study did not comprehend the impact to local wells (artesian or dug) or to the impact on wells, ponds or spring fed spawning streams outside the Millbrook village. The consequences of long term pumping form the Millbrook well to satisfy the Fraserville Project will have a devastating effect on the local (20 mile radius) water system and environment.
Please take this into consideration during you review.
Respectfully Ed Farrow
